Long Term Teacher Training
Past projects supported by the Suzuki Teaching Trust
ESTONIA - LATVIA - LITHUANIA
The first year of the Baltic Cello Course directed by Anja Maja, Finland and bringing together nine cellists from Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia was successfully concluded with exams on 18 September 2017.
Violin teacher training, directed by Helen Brunner, started in 2014 with the first exams held a year later. It was supported by the Trust for several years and is now continuing largely unaided.
The Russian Piano teacher training course, run by Kristinn Örn Kristinsson and also supported by the Trust, was started in early 2015 and continues without current support.

Long term teacher training continues for Violin (with Koen Rens) and Piano (with Mary McCarthy) were supported by the Trust over a number of years. T
The first Violin course started in 2017 with support from the Trust, directed by Agathe Jerie. Six candidates took level 1 in July 2018 and the Trust has given a grant for the continuation of the course in 2018-19 with levels 2-3, while five new trainees are expected to start at level 1. This course is also directed by Agathe Jerie. The association also has plans to start other instruments and the Trust is committed to support these.
